Xiaomi announces Redmi Note 3 with fingerprint sensor


The Chinese smartphone manufacturers, Xiaomi has announced the new Redmi Note 3 in China. Compared to its predecessor, there are noteworthy updates as the device gets bigger and better in every way. Equipped with a new full metal body, fingerprint sensor, and a massive 4000mAh battery, and more, the Redmi Note 3 is going to be one of the best Xiaomi devices ever. 

Xiaomi has, for the first time, brought a fingerprint scanner to its range of affordable smartphones and it is now wonder that the sensor, which is located on the reverse of the Redmi Note 3, is the most striking feature of the new 5.5-inch phablet. 

Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Helio X10 chip from MediaTek. It comes in at 8.65mm thick and, at 164g, is 4g heavier than the previous Redmi Note 2,. The Redmi Note 3 also sports the same 13-megapixel front camera and five-megapixel rear camera as its predecessor.

Other specs include a 1080p display, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage or 3GB RAM and 32GB storage depending upon the model you choose, rear camera with phase detection autofocus, 4G dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and MIUI 7.
